So, you want to make a documentary film. What next? Attend this workshop with award winning filmmaker, activist and Hunter Film and Media Studies professor Tami Gold to get a sense of how to take your first steps towards creating an engaging, powerful film. Participants will leave with a checklist of what they will need to do to get started.
Tami Gold is a visual artist and producer and director of documentary films that address urgent social justice issues. One of her most recent documentary Every Mother’s Sons won the Audience Choice Award at the Tribeca Film Festival, it was broadcast on PBS. Gold is a professor in the Department of Film and Media Studies at Hunter College.
