Short Description:

"Slingshot Hip Hop, from Brooklyn to Palestine: Writing a Radical Curriculum in Public High Schools" is an opportunity for artists, educators and activists to reflect on how we all can collaborate in developing a more radical curriculum in the classroom, with an emphasis on creating and using media both as a means of self expression and a resistance to the forms of oppression so many youth are dealing with today, from Brooklyn to Palestine.
