Short Description: 

Hear from LGBT groups creating media for organizing, fundraising, event promotion and health and wellness outreach work. Find out how these groups are supplementing broadcast with community-based and online distribution on YouTube, Google video, and iTunes. Panel members will present about their work, highlighting some examples, and then open up the discussion to the audience for an interactive experience.

Richard Davis, LGBT Community Center
Presenter One Info: 

Richard coordinates video media at the Center including producing the Center’s monthly half-hour TV show, Out at the Center. He has also produced several video projects focusing on health and wellness issues for the LGBT community. His other production experience includes corporate training videos, documentaries, video art installations and video blogging.

Marianna Moneymaker, LGBT Community Center
Presenter Two Info: 

Marianna has a BA in Film with an emphasis in New Media productions. She has been working with online video broadcast since 2004. Marianna is also production supervisor for Out at the Center and has been instrumental in branding the show, having it listed in itunes and increasing distribution to other sites online.

Jay Toole is a Shelter Organizer for Queers for Economic Justice, a progressive non-profit organization committed to promoting economic justice in a context of sexual and gender liberation

Jennifer Wager, MNN Community Media and Outreach Services (Moderator)
Presenter Four Info: 

Jennifer Wager is a queer media activist and teaches video production and post-production for MNN's Community Media Department. She is also an award winning documentary filmmaker. Her first film, Venezuela Rising, has been shown in film festivals and television around the world. She has also moderated several panels for national and international conferences.
