Photography as Advocacy
Ida Benedetto, Eric Gottesman, Lynn Johnson and Laurie McGinley of the Open Society Documentary Photography Project
The exhibition will present several model projects that have used photography to precipitate social change. These projects, and others that the Documentary Photography Project supports, are radical examples of taking media to the people and opening up space for conversation, critical consciousness, and exchange.

The Lang Mural Project

We will be distributing a tiny zine loaded with tips for creating and engaging with Public Art. We explore community murals and artmaking and images as social dialogue and sites for interactive educational opportunities. We are one component of Lang Outdoors.


Collaborative Painting: "Make the Dream Real"

"Make the Dream Real" will offer youth participants a unique
opportunity to express themselves and create a new world together, using the canvas and the painting as a medium to visualize illusions, desires and dreams. The painting can be viewed in the youth lounge.
